Worcester follows a local sequence. Knowing the phase explains why one road can be clear while another is still waiting.

Check your block and the latest declaration. If the city offers garage parking, read that event's participating locations, conditions, and exit deadline.

Main roads come before smaller side streets
Worcester generally begins plowing around one inch of accumulation. Clearing can continue after snowfall ends; this guide does not promise a street arrival time.

Clear the pedestrian route too
Owners or occupants must clear a four-foot sidewalk path within 10 hours after snow stops, including adjoining corner ramps.

Worcester parking rules that matter
- On designated Permanent Ban streets, seasonal restrictions run December 1 to April 30, from 2 to 6 a.m. and whenever a snow emergency is declared.
- A Declared Ban covers other city streets when announced and typically permits parking on only one side. Use the address map for the side that applies.
- Some streets change rules between blocks. Follow posted restrictions and the current declaration; illegally parked vehicles can be ticketed and towed.

Are garages always free when it snows?
Do not assume so. Read the current city declaration for participating garages, entry times, exceptions, and the deadline to remove your car.
