Allow for the residential clearing window
After more than two inches, the usual residential goal is within 24 hours after snowfall ends. Severe cold, wind, freezing rain, or heavy snowfall can extend the response.

Omaha parking rules that matter
- When a snow emergency is declared, residential parking east of 72nd Street follows odd calendar dates on the odd-address side and even dates on the even-address side.
- Emergency Snow Routes prohibit parking citywide during the emergency. Do not apply the residential odd/even exception to those routes.

Should a completed residential street be bare pavement?
Not necessarily. Omaha does not promise bare pavement on residential roads. Report a remaining hazard with its exact location rather than assuming every patch of snow means the route is unfinished.
