Bracebridge parking rules that matter
- Do not park on a municipal street or most Town parking lots from 2 to 6 a.m. between October 16 and April 15.
- Sixteen designated spaces in the Hiram lot permit overnight parking when the posted conditions are followed.
- Vehicles that obstruct snow clearing may be fined and towed at the owner's expense.
- Park fully inside the driveway so the vehicle does not extend into the road or across a sidewalk.

The city plow department is not responsible for every road, sidewalk, driveway, alley, or parking area.
Town of Bracebridge
Maintains Town roads, sidewalks, bridges, and parking lots and also services listed District roads on the District's behalf.
District of Muskoka and Ontario
The District owns designated Muskoka roads, while Ontario maintains Highway 11 and Highway 118 east.
Residents and private owners
Clear private access and windrows. Seasonal Town roads, private roads, driveways, and parking areas do not receive ordinary municipal winter service.

Confirm the owner and route timing
A designated Bracebridge route may take about six to eight hours. Continuing snow, ice, or work on higher priority roads can extend that time.

Does Bracebridge plow seasonal roads in winter?
No. The Town lists seasonal road maintenance from June 1 through October 31, so those roads should not be treated as ordinary winter routes.
Where can I park overnight in downtown Bracebridge?
Most municipal streets and lots prohibit parking from 2 to 6 a.m. during the winter season. The Hiram lot has 16 designated overnight spaces; follow the signs for those spaces.
Why has my gravel road not been plowed early in the season?
Bracebridge explains that an unfrozen gravel surface can be damaged and can make plowing unsafe. Crews may wait for the surface to freeze before using the road plow.
