What happens before your street is finished
Park City follows a local sequence. Knowing the phase explains why one road can be clear while another is still waiting.

Keep transit and the core open
Crews focus on heavily traveled roads, bus routes, Old Town, Royal Street, and business areas while snow continues.

Expand into residential streets
Lower traffic routes follow after the first priority network is safe and passable.

The lowest volume streets are generally completed last, followed by widening and snow storage work.

Park City parking rules that matter
- From November 1 through April 30, do not park on the downhill side of streets south of 12th Street unless the municipal code lists an exception.
- Main Street, Park Avenue north of Heber Avenue, Swede Alley, and listed city lots restrict parking from 2 to 6 a.m. without the required permit.
- Never leave a vehicle or object where it interferes with snow removal on a city street.
- During a declared snow removal emergency, vehicles are prohibited on bus routes and listed first priority streets and may be impounded.

Who clears what in Park City
The city plow department is not responsible for every road, sidewalk, driveway, alley, or parking area.
Park City Public Works
Plows municipal streets by priority and maintains selected city sidewalks and paths according to the published tier map.
UDOT, resorts, and private owners
State routes, resort roads and lots, lodging property, private streets, and driveways can have separate operators and rules.
Property owners and private contractors
Clear assigned sidewalks and private access without pushing snow into the street, a neighbor's property, or public snow storage space.

Confirm the city owns the road
Park City repeatedly protects its busiest streets during an active storm. Residential streets and cul-de-sacs can wait until first priority routes are safe and passable.

Does Park City plow resort parking lots?
Not generally. Resort property and lodging lots have their own operators. Park City maintains municipal streets and designated city facilities.
Can I park on a downhill side street in Old Town?
Winter parking on the downhill side of streets south of 12th Street is prohibited unless the code lists an exception. Read the sign and municipal parking code for the exact block.
What happens during a Park City snow removal emergency?
Parking becomes illegal on transit routes and listed first priority streets. A vehicle that interferes with removal can be impounded.
